RED OWL BOXING'S BOXFEST SERIES RETURNS TONIGHT ON DAZN, STREAMING LIVE AT 9PM ET/8PM CT

Red Owl Boxing’s BOXFEST series, the premier destination for boxing’s up-and-coming fighters, returns with its first edition of 2025 TONIGHT AT 9PM ET/8PM CT when the stacked event streams live on DAZN globally in more than 200 territories and regions from the state-of-the-art “Owl’s Nest” in Houston.

Below is more information on tonight’s five-fight BOXFEST XIV event.

Main Event - 8 Rounds at 135 lbs.

Deonte Brown (15-0, 11 KOs) vs. Dennis Contreras (24-17-1, 22 KOs)

Deonte Brown: 134 lbs.

Brown is returning to the ring after a three-year absence from traditional boxing
Scored a 9th-round TKO over Jesus Saracho in 2022 in last fight
Brown is riding a five-fight knockout streak

Dennis Contreras: 136 lbs.

Contreras is 3-5 against undefeated fighters in his career
Fighting in the U.S. for the fourth consecutive time, he is 4-4 in all fights in the United States
Four-time Mexican Junior Olympic Champion

Co-Main Event - 6 Rounds at 133 lbs.

Francisco Javier Martinez (7-1, 4 KOs) vs. Wayne Lawrence (7-1, 4 KOs)

Francisco Javier Martinez: 132 lbs.

Martinez returns after his lone career loss which came against Jose Daniel Dzul Hoil (6-4-2) in Cancun, his first fight outside of the U.S.
Tonight marks his first career fight in Houston. The Dallas native is 2-0 with one knockout win in Texas
Martinez is a decorated amateur with reportedly 180 estimated wins before turning pro

Wayne Lawrence: 130.6 lbs.

The 23-year old is also returning after his only career defeat which came against Francois Scarboro Jr. (8-0) via unanimous decision
Lawrence has two career knockouts with his last coming in 2023 against Quayshon Evans

Ellis has won both of her professional fights by knockout
Lost her last outing by knockout against Iyana Veruzco (2-0) in January
