BOXFEST XI HITS PRIMETIME TONIGHT AT 9PM ET ON DAZN
HOUSTON, Texas – October 4, 2024 – Red Owl Boxing returns tonight with the next edition of the popular BOXFESTseries, streaming live on DAZN globally in more than 200 territories and regions from the state-of-the-art “Owl’s Nest” in Houston. BOXFEST XI begins around the world at 9 p.m. EST/8 p.m. CST and will feature five fights on the main card live on DAZN, which will be headlined by a battle of two welterweight veterans seeking retribution when Quinton Randall (14-2-1, 3 KOs) faces Janelson Bocachica (17-2-1, 11 KOs) in a ten-round fight. Randall and Bocachica have competed on several high-profile events and were both fast-rising prospects until each fighter suffered back-to-back losses. Randall, 34, got back in the win column in May, while Bocachica, 25, is coming off a no contest and seeking to get back on track in Houston next week. “I am a well-oiled machine and camp has been perfect,” said Randall who hails from Houston. “I have never gone into a fight thinking I was going to lose. It’s how I am going to win - if I am going to look impressive or if it’s going to be a rough and tough night. It’s going to be a cold day in hell before someone comes into my city and whoops me.” In the co-main event, super middleweights Marquis Moore (11-1, 7 KOs) and Tipton Walker (9-0-1, 6 KOs) will square off in an eight-round fight. Both fighters are coming off TKO victories and an impressive performance on Red Owl Boxing’s global stage would propel them up the rankings at 154 pounds. “I just learned that we don’t have time that we think,” said Marquis Moore. “While you have the time, the youth and the health, you have to go 120% until there is nothing left. I feel rejuvenated.” “I’ve seen footage of Tipton,” added Moore. “He’s typical, nothing I haven’t seen before. I know he is going to come forward but I believe I have what it takes. I’m hungry. I’m back. And this is a great platform to fight on.” Also featured on the main card, one of boxing’s hottest prospects, Giovanni Marquez (10-0) returns to the BOXFEST series for the second time to take on Thomas Guillemette (8-2) in a dangerous six-round matchup at 140 pounds. The Houston-native has stacked up two impressive wins in 2024 including a gritty win over Jason Limon at the Owl’s Nest in May. Rounding out the action on DAZN is a four-round rematch between Dayan Depestre (4-0-1, 3 KOs) and Trevon Smith (2-3, 1 KOs) who met a month ago in the Owl’s Nest on BOXFEST X when Depestre edged out Smith. The night will open the professional debut of Kumar Prescod who will take on Skyler Mauller (0-1) in a four-round light heavyweight fight.
